What can you boost a stellar experienced squad who have won back-to-back championships, including a league-cup double boasting thirty victories from thirty-two games?

Recruit a collection of ex- professionals that have competed at the elite tier of club football and global soccer as you target more trophies.

One Greater Manchester side has an amateur veterans squad with 9 former Premier League players in their present lineup.

Two Hundred Twenty-Two Premier League Scores, 325 International Appearances

The team Veterans Over 35s are located in south the city and compete in the Cheshire Veterans Division Premier Division.

The squad list this season includes nine former Premier League footballers, with a total nearly 1,800 elite appearances.

This star-studded squad also contains over 220 top division scores and 325 global caps.

The squad include one forward, who netted thirty-seven goals in 117 appearances for his former club after joining them for nine million pounds from German league club SC Freiburg in January 2012.

He made his debut for Wythenshawe in their last home game against defending champions Collegiate Old Boys and scored all six scores in a six-two win - including a half-hour opening period hat-trick.

Wythenshawe's roster for this campaign also includes ex- pros such as English and Anfield striker Emile Heskey, Hull City and Burnley FC winger George Boyd, Toffees forward Oumar Niasse, Wigan Athletic full-back Maynor Figueroa, Manchester City duo Stephen Ireland and Nedum Onuoha and Premier League title winners Joleon Lescott and Danny Drinkwater.

Collectively, the former top-flight players have secured fifteen significant trophies and transferred for total transfer fees of around £123 million.

Household Figures and International Stars

Ireland started playing for the side in pre-season this summer through close friend and present team teammate Blake Norton, and the former Republic of Ireland player then asked additional former professionals, who all play in a weekly nine-a-side game, to join in.

Ex- Senegalese forward Niasse, who netted twelve goals in 65 Premier League games for Everton and even now goes to their matches at Goodison Park, also had his debut against the opposition - who are located in the city and wear an Everton warm-up gear as their strip.

"My friend Stephen told me 'come and play, it's good fun'," said the striker.

So great is the strength in depth at the club, he had his first game at full-back.

"That's a little different but then, I love sprinting and just move inside - I'm not defending that much," he said.

"I tell my centre-back 'I'm not hanging back' and that I'm just going to keep running.

"The movement is what I'm seeking. It's enjoyable."

Dreamlike' Scenario

"I felt I was a little starstruck facing Figueroa to be honest.

"Even Emile [Heskey] got on and he's has over 60 England appearances.

"Our side held our own for a good 20 mins but then we had a player sent off and it was hard.

"We literally haven't stopped talking about it - I was phoning my mother and sibling on the way home.

"The opponents were all really nice, shaking our hands after the game - it was like playing a bunch of normal fellas.

"Now we can't wait for the return match."
